Sharyn Dearnaley Something there is that doesn't love a wall, That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it, And spills the upper boulders in the sun, And makes gaps even two can pass abreast. Robert Frost

January 14, 2021 January thaw, grey thaw, wet thaw, snowy thaw, drippy thaw, drip, drip, drip. No rosy sunset tonight. light, then darkness.
First I saw the western sky turn yellow and gray. It had been gray and raining and raining and raining. Water pouring downhill, everything and everybody sopped , thunder and lightning. The rain had stopped by 7:00. By 7:30, the sun had broken through. I thought "hmmmm....rainbow?". The sunlight in the Northwest burned against the dark sky, and I turned to look east. Rainbow. I clapped my hands, my neighbors clapped their hands. I saw it next through the window of the market down the street. The cashier told me it was a double rainbow. I followed it home. Neighbors on their sidewalk, people in the market parking lot, everyone had their heads up, and everybody was happy.
